僕の日本

これはどこかの戦争の真っ最中の国からの写真でありません。これは地震と津波の元で犠牲になった僕の日本人兄弟を運んでいる日本の兵士です。英語の古い言い伝えで”何かがなくなるまで何を持っていたか気付かない”があります。そして僕は大事なものをなくしました。僕の子どもの中の３人が育った日本、僕が人生の３分の１を過ごしている日本。人生の中で一番大事なものを学ぶことができた日本。一日足らずのドライブでメルトダウンする可能生の原子力発電所がある。英雄と呼んでもおかしくない人達はずっと状態を安定しょうとしていますが、次から次へと起こる困難の前で何もできません。最終手段で海水を原発にかけて状態を安定させようとしていますが、治まる可能性は低いです。電力会社も全力を尽くして安定しょうとしていますが、季節はずれの寒い気候も足まといになっています。少なくとも現段階で入ってきたニュースです。
しかし、良いことも起きています。２日ほど前に幼児モーセがナイル川に流されたように母の手から離れたが、奇跡的に助かりました。悲しい結末しかない何千人もの家族の中でこの家族は奇跡的に再び再会しました。しかし、このような奇跡は時間と寒さで少なくなるかもしれません。
僕は日本のために祈る、兄弟のために祈ります。そして僕は食品や物資を持っていくことなどできるだけのことをしています。日本が元気になるまで、長い道のりです。しかしこれは「愛の労働」です。僕は次の数年をかけて何回も京都から東北まで運転していきます。
あなたも助けてくれたら嬉しいです。

Poverty in Japan is more than homeless living in blue sheet and cardboard shacks that most think of. Working poor are, by and large, the largest group of Japanese suffering the ills of poverty and estimated at more than 10 million[1]. These struggling individuals go largely unnoticed as provide the services that fuel society and then go home to inadequate housing, survive on instant ramen and fall thru the cracks with regards to retirement and proper health care.

フードバンク又は広告会社？

We charities and foundations are the gatekeepers of our communities. Formed for the public good, and operated not for profit but for the public good. It seems however that most well meaning ideas take on a life of their own and after a time, many organizations will do anything to get money in the door. Pictured above is the chairman of Foodbank Kansai receiving money from Pfizer corporation. Pfizer is the largest drug manufacturer in the world, and they operate outside the bounds of national and international laws at their whim*.

教会で、信仰者いますか？

Lets see, I have been here now for 12 years. I am appalled at the condition of the church. Everywhere I go, christians lament that with all the work, only 3 to 4 percent of Japan are christian... My response is, "what work?" What this country could use is a couple of real churches with some real men of faith. Men to remind the people that the freedoms and the trappings of civilization that we enjoy today have all sprung from the Judeo-Christian culture.
- Welfare ( 6000 years ago in Leviticus 23:22 and not for the favored but for the foreigner as well )
- Public Education ( 6000 years ago in Deuteronomy 6:6-9 that every boy would be taught to read)
- Public Health Care( 6000 years ago in Leviticus 13 and not for the privileged but for every man woman and child )
- Freedom from Racism ( 6000 years ago in Numbers 12 that God would not tolerate judgement of a person by the color of their skin )
2008へようこそ！
Filed under founder January 20, 2008新しいチャレンジとチャンスと共に年が明けました。
今年でコズモズが日本に来てから１３年がたちます。
去年は特に大変でしたが、この数年で結構進んでいると思います。
完全に自立ができて、活動に力をいれる時間が増えました。
活動がしたいのに、経済的な面、人数不足の面で進めなかった去年は
人生の中でも一番難しい一年だったかもしれない。
でもこれからはいっぱい活動して人を助けられるので、楽しみです。
前に進み、もっと人を海外に送り、活動を支えるために
もっと英会話教室を開くのが楽しみです。
いつも素晴らしいスタッフのおかげで前へ進めています。
日本まで来てくれたDoc,Kyle,Danny,Benへの感謝の一言！
とし、さち、さき、しまだ、こうじ、はやと、
そしてやすは相変わらず、一生懸命頑張っています。
今年キャストンは卒業して、大学へ向けて一年間インターンシップをしています。
